This trio of stories not only spans generations of a family but also illustrates the details from some very sad times. The trials and tribulations this family grows stronger while working together is heartwarming. Gizelle is a character you will want to take into your arms to protect. No woman should have to face all the things she faced, but her survival is the real definition of her strength to her and the family. I also became a fan of Tallulah with her support of Gizelle. I doubt this woman ever met a stranger.

This would be an amazing mini-series with tears and joy mixed in equal measure. This family short celebrate their bravery and love. The author, Kim Robinson, did a great job of telling the history of a never give up family.

I absolutely loved this story. I could not put the books down. I had the pleasure of meeting Kim. She wonderful author and very helpful to other up and coming authors.

I loved this book! The characters were well-written and clear. The trilogy is fabulous!
